The WLA has developed a certification program for Responsible Gaming principles, which are universal and are applied by lotteries around the world. In addition to this, WLA members must consider the impact of regional and jurisdictional realities when they address CSR issues.
Further to the WLA RG certification program, more work has been carried out to increase member awareness of CSR, including a survey, which reviewed different initiatives with representation from all regions. Added to this, WLA and its regional partners hold regular webinars every year. The information gathered from these activities has enabled us to provide some guidance on how a lottery can structure the different components of its CSR program.
This brochure is a first step towards assisting WLA members and their suppliers be more effective on their CSR journey. It provides key insights and examples of successful CSR activities undertaken by WLA members.
