Events where WLA participated

More than 1500 participants attended events organized by WLA and its regional partners throughout the year.

Taking place in Asia, Europe and Latin America, the events examined key themes for the lottery and sports betting industries. This covered latest developments in marketing, responsible gaming, preventing sports competition manipulation, tackling illegal betting, security and risk management, aspects of running sports books and the importance and benefits of certification to the WLA Responsible Gaming framework and the WLA Security Control Standard.

2023 WLA Academy Scholarship program

The WLA Scholarship program was launched in 2013 to encourage lottery professionals from around the world to participate as speakers at WLA seminars. It offers selected lottery staff a chance to take part in educational events that they may not be able to attend without WLA support.
