Delivering on the new strategy - highlights

Enhancing collaboration with Regional Associations

Throughout 2025, the WLA sucessfully delivered 17 initiatives which have enhanced its collaboration with Regional Partners, ALA, APLA, EL, CIBELAE and NASPL, by:

• Evolving both standards and certifications drive with Regional Association coordination.
• Broadening Academy events offered by WLA and together with Regional Associations.
• Revamped the Scholarship program to boost participation.

Promoting WLA Committee work

• The new Resource and Information hub promotes WLA Committee activities with a dedicated area per Committee, that provides materials developed by the Committees to support our members, such as best practice guides and standards, latest news and blog updates, as well as important projects.

New Resource and Information hub

Another key initiative delivered, was the new user-friendly resource and info website. It provides WLA news, publications, and key initiatives, including: the revamped Play for Society section, a resource area dedicated to the Global Lottery Data Compendium, and the new microsite - Reaching Emerging Adults - which was rolled out as part of the new CSR strategy.

Events and WLA Scholarship program

It was a busy year. WLA organized 20 events independently and in conjuction with Regional Association Partners. WLA Scholarship program provided 20 participants the opportunity to attend our global events.
