The WLA launches new Special Edition Magazines

The Special Edition Magazines offer a roundup of articles on key topics that affect the regulated lottery and sports betting industry.

We look back at the last year of work and activities undertaken by the WLA to address these topics and enhance the support provided to members around the world. Whatever your interest, you can find all the relevant articles in each Special Edition in our Magazines section of the Resource and Information hub.

Combating illegal lottery and sports betting operators

Discover more about the global illegal markets, how they impact the regulated lottery and sports betting industry and how the WLA Combating Illegal Lotteries and Betting Committee arms regulated operators with tools and knowledge to fight back in the different jurisdictions around the world.

Follow developments of the world-first project WLA/University of Lausanne using artificial intelligence to develop a standard method for sizing global illegal markets.

Responsible Gaming and certification

Certification to the WLA Responsible Gaming Framework allows our members to demonstrate that they follow global best practices to ensure responsible gaming environments, products and services for all players.

But that's not all, the WLA CSR Committee has rolled out Project RED (offering benchmarking tools, peer networking opportunities and more) and the Reaching Emerging Adults microsite addressing this key at-risk player group, to further enable members to achieve their goals of raising funds to support good causes in a safe, responsible manner.

Security, risk management and certification

Security and risk management have radically evolved beyond IT measures to become strategic pillars of resilience and sustainability.

Find out more about how the WLA Security and Risk Management Committee supports members through the development and maintenance of the Security Control Standard, Risk Register and associated risk profiles which contribute towards enhancing the security of all their operations.

Sports integrity and the fight against sports competition manipulation

Sports must remain fair and clean, to protect stakeholders across the entire regulated sports and sports betting ecosystem, including athletes, teams, coaches, trainers, sports organizations and federations, fans, sports bettors and regulated lottery and sports betting operators.
