WLA to participate in webinar on how illegal betting fuels gambling harm

On 25 September the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities (IFHA) will hold a webinar on Unregulated Wagers, Unseen Damage: How Illegal Betting Fuels Gambling Harm.

Global effort to combat illegal betting operators

Our Combating Illegal Lotteries and Betting Committee (CILBC) works closely with the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities (IFHA) and its Council on Anti-illegal Betting and Related Financial Crime, to maintain the integrity of horse racing and other sports.

WLA Executive Director, Luca Esposito is a member of the above mentioned IFHA Council. The IFHA Council aims to foster and enhance international co-operation among horse racing operators, regulators, intergovernmental organizations, government agencies and NGOs in order to better combat the threat of illegal betting and other crime risks to the integrity of the sport of horse racing in particular, as well as sport in general.
